The production
The video was conceived by experienced researchers
of the IAC. It was produced in the USA thanks to the help of friends
and students w ho
volunteered to contribute. As a multi-cultural production, the casting
counted with two persons from the USA, one from Canada, four from
Brazil and others from Spanish speaking countries. The video was
recorded in English and in Spanish; therefore, all of those involved
–instructors, students, and actors – had to speak both
languages.
The production features state-of-the-art
filming techniques and special effects, and uses professional actors
and film crews in a genuine attempt to dispel the misconceptions
so often associated with the phenomenon.
Although the primary purpose of the video
is to educate, it is also entertaining. A plot is used to present
the information in an enjoyable manner.
The video was intended to contain as much
information as possible, and, for this reason, a script was followed.
However, those who appear lecturing are real instructors and the
scenario reproduces the way the classes are conducted at the IAC.
The storyline simulates a situation experienced
by many of those who look for information on the OBE.
