Convergence (Annual Event)

Convergence on Consciousness is an annual multi-day event held at the picturesque, energetically pristine IAC Research Campus in Evoramonte, Portugal. It always features an exciting line-up of deep, experiential courses, as well as some intellectually stimulating courses, workshops, or conferences. Convergence is a special time when old friends and fellow consciousness explorers from all around the world convene in a tranquil setting to focus on their common interest. Often group tours from other countries cap off their journeys by taking in some or all of the Convergence events.

More than 140 people of 30 nationalities took part in 2008's Convergence on Consciousness, which featured the following lineup:

• Multidimensional Praxis: Ectoplasm & Clairvoyance, October 15 to 17 - an experiential immersion that culminated in ectoplasmic manifestations and group clairvoyance sessions
• 2nd International Symposium on Conscientiological Research, October 18 and 19 - event dedicated to addressing research methods, principles, and epistemological themes related to studying the consciousness based on a new, non-mechanistic paradigm
• CDP Advanced 2: Assistantial Energetic Field, October 24 to 26 - 3 day workshop that provokes a powerful energetic unblocking.

It also featured the following special celebrations:

• 10th anniversary of the Journal of Conscientiology
• The awarding of the inaugural IAC Global Award for Scientific Contributions to Conscientiology
• Launch of the Phytoenergy laboratory, a highly unique self-research laboratory nestled in a tree that provides an optimized environment for experimenting with the natural energies of plants (phytoenergy).

While on-campus over the period, people took great advantage of the opportunity to conduct sessions in the campus' self-research laboratories - a full 123 experiments were recorded over the 2-week period, each with a duration of 90 minutes, for a total of more than 184 hours of experimentation!
