Editor’s Foreword

The first article of this issue, by Luisa Fernandes, provides an interesting theory of the process involved in the conscious acceleration of personal and group evolution. This is accomplished by means of an analogical study of the evolutionary process and the biological enzymatic catalysis.
The article from Carlos Lucena draws attention to important aspects related to the undesirable use of ‘consciential scaffolding’ by intraphysical consciousnesses. He develops this theme by considering the potential improper use of the ideas of conscientiology (the very science that points out the spuriousness of using consciential scaffolding) by some individuals to nonetheless, create their own elaborate consciential scaffolding.
Nanci Trivellato and Wagner Alegretti’s paper presents us with their hypotheses and theories to further understand the condition of the evolutionary duo relationship. Some preliminary results of their studies on the practicalities of living this relationship on a daily basis, based on case studies of many actual evolutionary duos, including their own, are also presented.
Perfectionism, a topic that is the object of study of many different fields of research is addressed in the article by Maria Timm Hoblik, published in this issue in Spanish. This article offers an expanded perspective on perfectionism and also candidly details Hoblik’s own experiences associated with this condition.
In every issue of the Journal, at least one contribution is published in Spanish in order to encourage intercultural exchange of ideas, polyglotism, and universalism. In line with this policy, the glossary of conscientiology is also published here in Spanish to facilitate scientific debate and the submission of manuscripts from Spanish-speaking researchers and readers.

Examining the Relationship between Evolutionary Catalysis and Biological Model of Enzymatic Catalysis

Luisa Fernandes

ABSTRACT: The article presents one of the analysis techniques applied in this research – the use of a logical analogy – in order to understand the processes through which one can lucidly propel and accelerate personal evolution and, in turn, group evolution. It systematizes information derived from the comparison of a model of catalysis, which exists and sustains physical life, the biological model of organic catalysts, with the evolutionary catalysis as proposed by the consciential paradigm. The main purpose of this article, through its comparative hypotheses, is to instigate reflection and establish association of ideas, allowing thus an expansion of the mentalsoma‘s scope of action, as the major evolutionary catalyst of the consciousness and as a tool to amplify lucidity.

The Subtlety of Consciential Scaffolding

Carlos Alberto Santos de Lucena

ABSTRACT: This article examines the use of Conscientiology as ‘consciential scaffolding’ by the intraphysical consciousness. According to Conscientiology, adoption of a permanently analytical stance is one method of avoiding such an inconvenience.

Dynamics of the Evolutionary Duo

Nanci Trivellato & Wagner Alegretti

ABSTRACT: This paper will be of particular interest to those who already participate or intend to participate in an ‘evolutionary duo’ or who are interested in studying the concept, as it cites the practical basis for a relationship in the evolutionary duo condition, according to the personal experience of the authors and their observations of many other evolutionary duos worldwide. The ‘evolutionary duo’ is a concept that refers to a couple that stays together out of mutual love and respect and because their existential programs are mutually supportive, having the same objectives and main methods of execution. Being together, therefore, optimizes the work of each in a synergistic fashion. The partners of this couple, who are married or living together in intimacy, have already participated in an intimate relationship together in many previous lives.

Nanci Trivellato is a linguist and is currently completing a Masters of Science degree in Psychological Research Methods. A researcher and instructor of conscientiology since 1992, she is co-founder of the Florida (USA) facility where she was the PR director for 5 years. Ms. Trivellato is currently the Scientific co-ordinator of the International Academy of Consciousness (IAC) and the Director of IAC’s London office.

Wagner Alegretti, an electronic engineer, is the president of the International Academy of Consciousness (IAC). He was one of the founders of the IIPC* in Brazil and a member of its board of directors for 5 years. He has been actively researching and instructing projectiology and conscientiology since 1985. Mr. Alegretti is the author of the book Retrocognitions: Recalling Past Live.

Together Trivellato and Alegretti conceived and are conducting a survey aimed at analysis of the variety and frequency of out-of-body experiences of the populace (with a sample of over 7,000 participants). Preliminary results of this survey were presented at the International Forum for Consciousness Research, in Barcelona, Spain, in 1999. At the 3rd International Congress of Projectiology and Conscientiology, in New York in May 2002, they also presented a preliminary analysis of their experimental field research that focuses on investigating the paraperceptions during out-of-body experiences and remote viewings.

Auto-Investigación del Perfeccionismo

Maria Timm Hoblik

ABSTRACT: Perfectionism is considered a weak trait that manifests in many human beings, consciously or unconsciously. It has many variables and in most cases its appearance is subtle, hidden or disguised in other traits. The proposal is to arrive at a self-diagnosis by means of existing behavioral symptoms. The suggested course of action is the self-therapy arrived at through successive self-research in the daily life, unifying theory and practice. This study has as an objective to inform and to help clarify some nuances of perfectionism in general.
